What is QuickPack Haushalt + Hygiene GmbH?
We are a manufacturer and commercial company of household, hygiene and HoReCa items.
What does HoReCa mean?
It stands for the abbreviation“Hotel/Restaurant/Cafe", or catering. If a particular products is only sold for gastronomy, this product is called a HoReCa product.
How many people work at QuickPack worldwide?
About 1100 people are employed at QuickPack worldwide.
What is QuickPack's annual sales volume?

What does FSC® mean?
It stands for "Forest Stewardship Council®". FSC is a certification system for sustainable forest management.
What does ISCC PLUS mean?
This stands for "International Sustainability and Carbon Certification". ISCC is a globally valid certification system for sustainability and traceability along the entire supply chain. It covers all sustainable raw materials such as land and forestry biomass, biobased and circular materials. Renewable energies can also be ISCC certified. The plus in the name is the expansion to certify things such as chocolate, oils and technical or chemicals materials such as bioplastics.
What is HDPE?
This is the abbreviation for "High-Density-Polyethylene".
Polyethylene in general is a thermoplastic. HDPE is made up of weakly branched polymer chains with high density.
What is LDPE?
This is the abbreviation for "Low-Density-Polyethylene". Polyethylene in general is a thermoplastic. LDPE is made up of strongly branched polymer chains with low density.
What is LLDPE?
This is the abbreviation for "Linear-Low-Density-Polyethylene". Polyethylene in general is a thermoplastic. LLDPE is made up of linear polymer chains with low density. (linear low density). This plastic is very elastic and flexible and is therefore used for the production of things such as cling film.
What is rPE?
The “r” stands for "recycled”. The PE, polyethylene comes from the recycling process.
How do I dispose of a freezer bag?
If it is not too contaminated, it can be disposed of in the recycling bin or yellow bin/yellow bag. If it is very contaminated it should be put into the residual waste.
How do I dispose of cling film?
If it is not too contaminated, it can be disposed of in the yellow bin/yellow bag depending on the disposal system. If it is very contaminated it should be put into the residual waste. If you are not sure, always consult the regional waste disposal guidelines.
How do I dispose of aluminium foil?
If it is not too contaminated, it can be disposed of in the recycling bin or yellow bin/yellow bag. If it is very contaminated it should be put into the residual waste.
Can aluminium foil be used in the microwave?
No.
Can cling film be used in the microwave?
Only if expressly stated on the package. Please read the instructions on the package. We also offer microwave film for this purpose.
Can a freezer bag be used in the microwave?
Many freezer bags may be used in the microwave for thawing food. You must follow the directions on the package.
Can freezer bags be used in a (boiling) water bath?
Yes, usually up to 115 °C. But please look at the package for what is indicated there.
Up to which temperature can baking paper be used in an oven?
Can be used in the oven up to a max. of 220 °C.
Are organic waste bags made of paper suitable for home composting?
Yes.
Can organic waste bags made of paper be put into the organic waste bin?
In most cases, this is recommended by the municipalities. However, the local disposal guidelines must be followed and in case of doubt, ask the municipality.
Can organic waste bags made of plastic be put into the organic waste bin?
Each municipality has different disposal guidelines. Please first ask your municipality whether you can dispose of plastic organic waste bags in your organic waste bin.
Why do recycled plastic bags smell?
During the (mechanical) recycling process, heat is added to melt the old plastics. This creates the characteristic odour of recycled plastic bags.
Which bag should I use for my hand luggage on an airplane?
Here we recommend using a sealable freezer bag with a zipper closure or press closure and maximum volume of 1 litre. Also recognizable by a printed airplane symbol.
Can freezer bags be used in a vacuum sealing machine?
We have special vacuum film in our range that can be reliably used to vacuum pack.
Can I store clothing in your trash bags?
Yes, for this we recommend using trash bags of new plastic because they have a neutral odour.
Can I use trash bags to package bread?
No, because these are not intended for food contact. our large freezer bags are perfectly suited for storing and freezing loaves of bread.
